Ripple in White House Talks

Ripple (XRP) is currently in talks with Washington to promote the development of cryptocurrency and blockchain industries. Cory Johnson, chief market strategist, told Breaker that the company is meeting regularly with politicians, authorities and the legislature.

He said that he did not expect much from the initial contact with the officials, but found that the other party’s attitude was open and raised many questions. It seems that they are quite interested in the industry. He continued that the current mining activities of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are mainly from China. Compared with the former two cryptocurrencies, Ripple (XRP) has no mining mechanism, so it controls foreign investment and protects the environment. The relevant parties in the White House also paid attention to this, but did not disclose the details of the talks between the two sides.

Ripple is currently the world’s third-largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of $18.7 billion USD. It is currently working with three financial institutions, Mercury FX, Cuallix and Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union, to launch xRapid services to develop fast and convenient international cross-border payment.
