Coinbase宣布收購總部位於美國三藩市的身份認證初創公司Distributed Systems，惟公司並無透露是次收購的細節及作價。

Distributed Systems致力提供去中心化身份解決方案，其五人團隊將加入Coinbase開發相關解決方案。當中二人將開發近似Facebook一鍵登入的產品，該用戶可在去中心化應用平台上快速登入及連結自己的帳戶。
據《TechCrunch》報道，Distributed Systems此前已與多間區塊鏈巨頭洽談收購事宜，潛在買家包括Robinhood、幣安（Binance）、Coinbase及Facebook，最終該初創企業選擇了Coinbase。

另外，Coinbase亦公布，旗下以太坊手機錢包Toshi正式易名為Coinbase Wallet。官方Twitter表示，這不只是一個新名字，而是作為投資在可定義去中心化網絡未來的一部分努力，及令所有人都能接觸該未來。Coinbase又指，用戶利用Coinbase錢包，其私鑰的安全可經由生物認證科技及Secure Enclave保障。
用戶可利用Coinbase錢包管理ETH和所有ERC-20代幣，並即將支援比特幣（BTC）、比特幣現金（BCH）和萊特幣（LTC）；接收空投和ICO代幣；購買和儲存加密收藏品，並在遊戲中使用或在市場上交易。
